Introduce your child to the wonders of yoga through stories, songs and games on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 11 -11:30AM. There will lots of *meowing* and *hissing* as the kids increase their strength, flexibility and confidence through the awesome practice of yoga!
The cost for each class is $7 - come for some, come for all!
This series will begin on Wednesday, January 6 and will end on Friday, February 12.

Mixed Level Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga: a flow of postures/asana, "breath - movement system"
This is a moderately challenging and strength building physical practice which generally includes pranayama/breath work, short meditations, sun-salutations, and a balanced flow postures.
The degree of difficulty is determined by the group present and modifications are always offered to create a more gentle or more challenging experience.

These are the reminders that help me to manage the sometimes crushing Holly Daze. Simply Yoga Closed Thanksgiving Day
Simply Yoga will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. For those students who usually attend Thursday morning classes or anyone else who may be interested, an additional class will be offerred on Monday morning, November 23 from 9:15-10:45am.

Class focus is on strength and flexibility training for legs and core.
Downhill sports require leg strength to protect the vulnerable knee joint on vertical descent. Ankle and hip flexibility enhance performance and enjoyment! Core strength and spinal flexibility enhance reaction time and reduce the liklihood of injurious falls! This mid-week class will prepare you for your weekends on the mountain!

WINTER SPORTS YOGA
Please note that the time for Winter Sports Yoga on Wednesday evenings was incorrectly posted as 5pm. I will be at Simply Yoga for anyone who shows up at that time. HOWEVER, all subsequent Wednesday Evening classes will begin at 5:45 pm and end at 7pm. Depending on when people show up for this first class, I am prepared to teach a short version from 5pm-5:45 and then beginning again at the correct start time. Sorry for any inconvenience this posting error has caused. Looking forward to a great challenging class!

Basic Yoga - Beginner and Mixed Level with Sandy
This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of yoga. The class will teach basic postures designed to build strength, flexibility and endurance, as well as, breathing techniques and meditation/relaxation skills to integrate the mind, body, and spirit. This class is designed for the student who wants to develop greater self-awareness and create more balance, harmony and joy in their life.

A Potential Additional Location...
Simply Yoga is considering an additional location for classes and bodywork, in Exeter RI on Rte 2 just north of Rte 138 in the Oak Harbor Plaza. A modest space (1100 sq ft) with a corner orientation, big windows, 2 dressing rooms, bathroom and an separate space to be used for treatments, healing, massage, and other modalities of personal work. Close enough to URI to potentially net some students, several businesses in the plaza already that can be mutually supportive. The space will have to be created, a mission more articulated, since the space will be primarily Yoga oriented in it's nature. So these are the details I am aware of at this point...Sherry can add more, and let's get some conversation on this...

WINTER SPORTS YOGA
This 1 hour class is designed for active folks who are looking to increase strength, flexibility and endurance for the ski season and take their mountain skills to the next level. Physical focus is on torso and legs; Mental focus on determination and confidence.
Folks that are new to yoga are encouraged to come find out what all the hype is about but should have intermediate level of physical fitness.
No previous yoga experience necessary!
